What do we use?
CryoPen is an advanced cryotherapy innovation, which can be used to safely and effectively treat skin pigmentation, Milia, Cherry Angiomas, Skin Tags, Warts and Verrucaes. Procedures take from just five to thirty seconds. Cryopen™ is both CE and FDA registered.
How does Cryotherapy work?
Benign blemishes are no longer being treated by the NHS. With the development of CryoPen - cryotherapy, CryoPen Emits a fine jet of Nitrous Oxide under high pressure with millimetre precision onto the lesion. The cold nitrous oxide destroys the unwanted tissue by freezing the inter-cellular fluid, forming ice shards and crystals which rupture the membrane, thereby destroying the cell. With its precise, safe and accurate treatment, there will be no damage to healthy surrounding tissue. Traditional cryotherapy used in the NHS required patients to re-attend their GP to have dressings applied to the area and the wound monitored. This is now not the case with Cryopen.
Milia Removal

Milia are small white or yellowish Keratin (a naturally occurring protein) filled raised cysts, bumps or spots on the skin. They are normally found around the eye area and cheeks, but can appear anywhere on the face or body. Unlike a pimple or spot, milia feel quite hard, almost like a small piece of grit under the skin, and do not have any redness or inflammation as you might expect with whiteheads or acne-related spots. CryoPen can be used to remove Milia, however needle extraction is our first preferred method.

Once the skin with milia has been cleaned, a small sterile needle is used to create a tiny incision and the contents of the milia are carefully extracted.
Skin Tags

A Skin Tag is a small flap of tissue that hangs off the skin by a connecting stalk. Skin tags are not dangerous. They appear most often in women, especially with weight gain and in elderly people. Irritation can occur if the skin tag frequency rubs against clothing or jewellery.

Age/sun spots are caused by an excess production of melanin due to skin aging and sun exposure or other forms of ultraviolet light exposure, such as tanning beds. Cherry Angioma

These are common skin growths which can grow on most areas of your body and are usually found on people aged 30 and older. The broken blood vessels inside a cherry angioma give them a reddish appearance. They are no cause for concern, unless they bleed or change shape or colour. Cause is unknown, possibly a genetic factor, linked to pregnancy, chemicals or climate change and age.
